Dr. Tyler Moyle's journey in dentistry began in his home state of Iowa, where he completed his undergraduate degree in Chemistry at the University of Iowa. He went on to earn his Doctor of Dental Surgery from Touro College of Dental Medicine in New York, where he distinguished himself through his commitment to clinical excellence and patient-centered care. Since 2021, Dr. Moyle has called California's Central Valley home, where he has dedicated himself to providing exceptional dental care with a gentle touch to the Modesto community. His Midwestern roots have instilled in him the values of hard work, honesty, and treating everyone like family—qualities that patients immediately notice upon meeting him.
Dr. Moyle's approach combines technical precision with genuine compassion, taking time to listen to each patient's concerns and develop personalized care plans. Committed to staying at the forefront of dental advancements, he regularly pursues continuing education in cosmetic dentistry, dental implants, and minimally invasive techniques. When not caring for patients, Dr. Moyle embraces the California lifestyle by exploring the diverse landscapes of the Central Valley and Sierra Nevada mountains through hiking and cycling. He is also actively involved in Modesto community outreach programs, working to improve access to quality dental care for underserved populations.
Raquel Funes, RDA
Registered Dental Assistant & Orthodontic Specialist
Raquel Funes brings over 4 years of experience as a Registered Dental Assistant with specialized expertise in both general dentistry and orthodontics. With valuable experience at several prominent dental practices in the Central Valley, Raquel excels in a wide range of procedures—from pediatric care to complex treatments like root canals. Her technical skills include fabricating dentures, performing coronal polishing, applying sealants, and conducting 3D orthodontic scans, all backed by her RDA license and multiple certifications.
"My goal is to make every patient feel comfortable and cared for," says Raquel. "I know that visiting the dentist can be nerve-wracking, so I do my best to ease fears, answer questions, and share a laugh to help patients feel at ease." Fluent in both English and Spanish, Raquel creates a welcoming environment for our diverse Modesto community. Currently pursuing her Associate's degree at Modesto Junior College, she remains committed to expanding her knowledge while providing exceptional care to every patient who visits our practice.
Kaylee Padilla, RDA
Registered Dental Assistant
Kaylee Padilla brings 5 years of experience in the dental field to Valley Smiles Dental, with exceptional skills in dental X-rays, coronal polishing, and chairside assisting across a wide range of procedures. "I love the hands-on work my job involves and being able to build relationships with my patients," shares Kaylee, who approaches patient care with the philosophy that everyone deserves to be treated like family. Growing up with dental challenges that required frequent dentist visits sparked her passion for the field, giving her unique empathy for patients with dental anxiety. Currently pursuing her dental hygiene degree, Kaylee takes particular pride in helping patients feel confident about their smile and overall health while creating a welcoming environment for everyone who visits Valley Smiles Dental.
Jennifer G, RDA
Registered Dental Assistant
Jennifer brings comprehensive dental expertise to Valley Smiles Dental with specialized training in both pediatric dentistry and orthodontics. Her technical abilities include performing prophylactic cleanings, applying sealants, fabricating temporary crowns, and assisting in root canal procedures. Multilingual in English, Punjabi, Hindi, and Urdu, Jennifer recently completed her Bachelor's degree in Dental Hygiene. "I believe in creating positive dental experiences for every patient," says Jennifer, whose background in pediatric dentistry has taught her how to make even the most anxious patients feel comfortable. Her diverse skills extend beyond chairside assisting to include front office operations and insurance verification, enhancing the overall patient experience at Valley Smiles Dental.
